SO CONTINUES THE 10GBE UPGRADE

6 nodes total, 3 on each site, done 2 on our primary site with 1 more to go however.....

while having a nice little chat with HPE support they spotted some creeeping disk errors with our 4 year old san which has started a lovely 22 disk swap (out of 72 disks)

Just converted a 7941G to a SIP phone if that helps

Could really do with the UK g3-tones file though but you need a service agreement to download them

Edit - Btw, has anyone had any hands on experience with OSX server? It looks simple (and dumb) enough to setup but would be handy to know any gotchas.

I found the Apple saying that "It just works" is a load of crock - OSX Server doesn't just work nor do Mac's in general tbh; been a week of absolute balls
Had to fudge it all with a bit of MDM; it's a bit of a special network now

Either student jumped onto a PC with a teacher still logged in or very silly member of staff.

As you can imagine, file auditing is now turned on

trying to be non intrusive as possible as we have staff on leave, I am looking for massive mpeg video files and using ffmpeg to batch convert them to something nice. So far I've been converting 20gb folders into 900mb which is nice.

Are you sure its been deleted? most of the time stuff gets accidentally dragged into sub folders

I've lost count of the amount of teachers that must have spasticated hand eye finger coordination they seemingly cannot control

It got stupid to the point ive now had to stop it with permissions
