Adam did you not think about putting another garage door on the rear so you could drive a car into the garden if needed? Done this on my house and can get 2 more cars in if needed

The garage floor is a lot lower than the level of the grass....and the grass area behind the back of the garage belongs to upstairs anyway

Its a red paint.... B&Q didnt have much of a selection - Blue or Red... red it was
wall above roller door still needs 2nd coat

That's a really nice garage! I need to get a cabinet or two for mine somewhere, was going to get a big steel one and bolt it to the wall and floor as I had all my tools stolen a while back.

You need a pit. Not for the cars but for all the money you have to burn

Not really
The garage build was relatively inexpensive
Adam did all the painting (with a little help from me)
The cabinets are from my aunty's very old kitchen which she is replacing
All our money goes on the cars....

Decided to sell the house ( and garage with it )
We had a solicitor round last night to take some details and get a schedule ready... pics possibly tomorrow.
1 question regarding an area we have never tackled with the house! The front garden!!!!
How much of a 'first impression' does a manky front garden leave?
Its a small pointless bit of land... 10m wide by about 5.5m deep... concrete path up the middle to the door, 'grass' (more moss and weeds) on either side, edged with hedges.
Leave as is - a mess.
OR
dig up the grass, weeds and 'plants' and chuckie both sides?

tidy up IMO; first impressions mean a lot and for little money you good set that good impression. Just gravel and a couple of pots/plants etc will tidy it up enough. A poor front garden could lead a potential buyer to ask what other cutbacks or corners have been cut

Make the front look as presentable as possible, after all it's the first thing they look at and will definitely notice if it's un-tidy. Spend a day tidying it up.

What do they call it, 'kerb appeal'? It'd be worth a few hours graft to tidy it up imo, as others have said stick a load of pebbles/gravel down and some plants and you're laughing.

Question 2: How the feck to get rid of all the grass? :Line the back of the rangey and hoof it in seems to be the only option :S
