all these console games have an aspect of auto aim, which is hard enough to control with a fucking stick or d pad anyway
COD3 has no auto aim

Okay but heres my pitch,
If there was a way to put a xbox COD3 gamer up against a PC Cod3 gamer, the speed and reaction time of a pc gamer would flaw the 360 player

whats your point? the Pc allows you to have a reaction time 100of a second quicker than the 360. Get a decent argument.

I'm talking about the present. There's no use comparing the 360 to technology that hasn't been released yet.
I heard that only one of the 360's processors is being used at the moment. What this means in terms of graphics I'm not sure and to be honest I don't really care.
People put far too much emphasis on graphics these days. I have played some truly shocking games that look great but are quite simply just shit
the 360 has 2 processors dave, one for math and one for gfx. it uses both, but the math processor is split into 3 cores that essentially creates 3 different realtime processing capabilities. and yes, graphics arent anything if the game is shite, but graphics are also the most fundamental structure of a modern game. you cant have fun with wire poly models
I didn't actually know that (regarding the processors)
I would disagree that graphics are the most fundamental part of a game these days. Why else would I keep on playing Doom, Street Fighter, etc on the Xbox Live Arcade? :
I agree it's an important part, but not essential. FF7 for example. Shite graphics, nice pre rendered backgrounds but the character models were crap. what was the game like? Utterly immense and one of the best games of all time.

I have a 360, and I have a PC...
Im not new to consoles, and ive been pc gaming for a good number of years..
If i was going to do anything profesionally, i wouldnt dream of doing it on a console.
The Pc offers so much more to a gamer than a console, that is my argument

you can't load Photoshop onto a 360
People seem to be comparing apples and oranges here.

Using a controller im using a few fingers, and my thumbs to control the movement,
on a pc I have a mouse which controls the aiming, or direction of the FOV, 8 buttons on that of which to use for what ever I want, then a entire keyboard for any extra buttons i need,
forward and backward is controled by buttons, w for forward, s for back, theres no pivoting in the wrong place with it and suddenly spinning the wrong way, or jumping backwards or forwards stupidly because i accidently released the stick for a milisecondand pushed it foward resulting in a double roll, like on dead rising.
I feel SO much more in control on a PC than I do on a 360, not to mention It feels more like I am in control of the character im manauvering around the screen, FP style.

Why are you comparing the price of a 360 to a pc,
360s make up their money in the games, and periphials which are considerably more expensive than their PC varients.

First incorrect point is Dead rising is 3RD PERSON, different concept completly.
Secondly if its to complicated to use the left stick for forward back and the right for up down, strathe left/right then im sorry but

why don't we look at what we're all after from playing games at the end of the day? Enjoyment surely?
Let's take the 2 versions of Oblivion into account. PC and 360.
Does the PC version look better than the 360 version?
Yes slightly, an untrained eye or someone's mum wouldn't tell the difference. And have you seen the recommended specs for Oblivion??
Does this effect gameplay?
No
Does this mean I won't enjoy the 360 version as much?
No
There are pros and cons to both. Like loads of downloadable extras for the PC version. Those lucky enough to have an HDTV will laugh at PC owners playing such a great game on a 19 TFT screen whilst sitting hunched over a keyboard on a desk.
blah blah blah i've said enough. I realise there are pros and cons to both systems, I'm pretty sure they're all apparent for everyone to see.
