As far as games go both consoles have games I want haha
For example the xbox has Project Gotham and the Playstation has GranTurismo.
Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD too, Another argument
HDMI vs Component or does the Xbox have a HDMI cable
I hear xbox live is pretty ace. I hate decisions, I'm rubbish
most reviews will say about it being an overpriced, few games and poor online at the moment BUT it has massive potential. there are already loads of reviews for the ps3 out there now if you want to read up on it. i would also focus strongly on the games
gt:hd is only a demo, gt5 will be out but not for another 18 months...possibly later. forza 2 is out in about 4 weeks. pgr3 doesnt even come close to the forza or gt series, oh and GTR is coming out for the 360 this year.
blu ray vs hd-dvd is another arguement, but tbh 90% of people will probably stick with normal dvds
360 doesnt have a hdmi cable yet, but the ps3 does
xbox live is the best thing since sliced bread, the ps3 online service thing is free but its not very good at all and you certainly wouldnt pay for it.

Does everybody that has an hd-dvd player not want one?
You can't play protected content at full res without hdcp.

john please keep quiet. i use a proper HD DVD player for films not a console. IMO consoles will never make decent mainstream players, but i shall use the HD DVD xbox player in my room and for that it will work just fine.

It's arriving next week and I still haven't picked a game. I am not too happy about loosing the dual shock 2 it is probably the best controller you can get, if SCE release a Dual Shock 3 I would gladly buy it. Do we get a free Blu-ray film with our PS3 like the Americans get?

So now because the 360 can't play hi def properly you might as well just go out and buy another player when the ps3 has got it built in.
Always got some sort of workaround for the failings haven't you.

at the pathetic reasons for not having a ps3.
The playstation controller is tried and tested and loved by many more people than the xbox one.

They can be a bit confined, but the analogue buttons add a great dimension to gameplay.

the 360 is 1080p etc compatible, MS have said a cable will be released when they see demand increase as competition hots up.
Also the PS3 isnt exactly quiet or the best Blu ray player. im sure many will buy a stand alone player. However i shall use my HD player in my room on my non 1080p TV.
John i bet you couldnt even tell the difference from 4metres between 720, 1080 etc

i fail to see how ms not biulding the hd dvd player into the console and charging over 400 quid can be seen as a failure
yes the ps3 is only slightly more expensive than the 360+ hd dvd addon but its still stupid amounts for a games console, the only people that would be buying them would be rich kids and people intending to use them as hd movie players aswell

indeed, whats next, a toaster with a blu ray drive in built that costs £500 quid, would that stop you buying a toaster for 30 quid? would the 30 quid toaster not make toast as good toast as the 500 quid one with an inbuilt blu ray drive?

Well that'll be 3 things that are better than the ps4 then, instead of only one in this case.
