nope
the eml comes on within 5 seconds on the SRI ecu
fort id try and check with my standard ecu with the wire in c1 instead of c11. and to get the eml to come on with the knock sensor fault, (as you would expect) i have to boot it at high revs, not just tick over an within 5 seconds like on the sri ecu
maybe an faulty SRI ecu? still got knock sensor fault
any ideas.............

just had my ecu out so took a pic of the wiring. it looks llike what dave has said about moving that wire is right just something else making it not work. is there not something that needs doing at the other end of the loom on the knock sensor?

its frustrating that I could sort this in 20 mins if you brought the car to me
early ecu's used a 1 wire knock sensor, later ones used a 2 wire knock sensor. which wires in the pic of the loom plug are for the knock sensor?

its the 11th pin in (according to the wiring diagrams) the brown/grey wire
im just woundering if its a faulty ECU, because when i swapped the wires over, so that in the wrong place for my ECU, the revs werent limited to 4800, the normal 6500 limit
im usupecting a dodgy ECU

After trying swapping the knock sensor wires over, my last attempt was replacing the knock sensor with a early single wire job, and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!
but the worse thing is that the superchip still has the standard rev limiter
so to sum up, been completely pointless as the whole point was to raise the rev lmiter!!!! but has added abit more midrange torque and pulls more clearly through out the rev range getting rid of small flat spots
but why isnt the rev limit changed? im sure it says on superchips website that it is

The limit is higher on my ecu, that superchips flashed.
Not sure where the limit is tho(ive been over 7k rpm and it was still pulling) not sure how much further go, for the sake of standard rod bolts, lol.

Actually, i had my rev counter on the floor, not fully wired up at the time.( i must have misread it when i glanced at it)
Got it properly fitted today, and my limit is still at the standard limit, about 6500/6750 rpm.
HMM, so i dont see what the "superchip" has achieved, altho theres no evidence its been chipped as its not a physical chip. I do have the customer key thingy tho.....
