Will take a good bit off bleeding to get all the air out since you've just replaced everything, what are you using to bleed them?

What do you mean by 'what am i using'?
Ive got some one man bleeding kit from Halfrauds although im not doing it alone. I do have an assistant

Sorry yea i meant what are you using lol, ive let them self bleed in the past if im in a rush  
Are you making sure there are no air bubbles left before closing the bleed nipple? also make sure you keep it topped up with fluid, the pedal will get better just takes time

When i bled them earlier i had it so as there was fluid coming out but there was loads and loads of tiny bubbles in the fluid  Not any big bubbles. Do i need to get rid of all those also?

Yea the bubbles are air, so you need to keep bleeding untill its just pure fluid thats comming out then close it  as i said keep an eye on the fluid level as it will need topped up as your bleeding if theres lots off air in the system.

Also brakes were rather hot after a small drive of 0>30>0mph and smelt rather nice too
I presume that is normal also for new brakes?

yea some brakes do smell alot when new untill they bed in

Binding lol, when th cars jacked up can you spin the wheel round no bother? or does it stick?

Well if they both spin no bother then can be binding so must just be cos there new they smell lol

Well the car is back off the road
Got too cold and dark by 8pm to finish the rear hoses (fiddly as fuck  ) and so it will have to wait till tomorrow.
Then going to bleed them again.
But, i noticed today after driving to work  the front passenger caliper is touching the alloy  Its left a line around the alloy where its removed the dirt
Hoses and everything are clear of the alloy.
Any ideas on what to do with it? As drivers side is fine.

only option is grind the calliper very slightly! Unleess you fancy some new wheels!

Any pictures chief?
To me thats alarm bells as they mount square so you should have the same issues on the other side if it was a typical clearance issue.
It is also the same side that you say was smelling etc IIRC? (I will go read the rest of the thread in a second) so are you sure they are 100% secure and nothing is between the calliper and the mounting face?

Ainsley - wheels arent atm
Wayne - havent managed to have a proper look yet as i was at work again and wanted to get my rear hoses done.
Im off tomorrow so i will have a proper look. Im going to undo the fouling caliper and then rebolt it in place, see if that helps any
Smell was both sides tbh, i think it was just newness.

there is a smal lip on the caliper which will need grinded off I did it when i fitted speedlines

I found out what the problem was with it rubbing on the alloy. The carrier wasnt sitting right.
The reason for it not sitting right (and tight - holding the pad tight too) is because of the clip im holding in this picture.
Its fine when i havnt got the clip in, and when i have one side in. But as soon as i get both sides secrued into the holes on the caliper it forces the carrier down again - loosening the carrier and pad
Im off to buy a new set of pins from halfrauds, but is this the problem?
