So i wonder what $199 and $299 translates to over here. Whats the bettering its £150 and £200 instead of the £100 and £150 it should be.

8GB doesnt really cut it though does, lets be honest... for somethign claimign to be an all in one media device :/
Also, my biggest problem with it still remains... ITS A BRICK as far as beign a phone is concerned :/
I woudl only ever get one if it could replace my iPod as well, t would have to be a Nano sized one with 50GB+ before that happens :S

Yeh I would be pretty pissed off if I just paid 300 odd for something that's out of date.
I agree with the iPhone being a bit of a brick but IMO if it was any smaller, you wouldn't the full benefits of the interface.

The model they are using in america has changed from gen 1, you need to activate in store and the plans are different, I don't think the revenue sharing model was as big a success as apple hoped.

Which to anyone with even the slightest bit of knowledge of the mobile industry knew from day 1
The instore activation is also to combat 'box breaking' and the unlocking problem

I still say they knew fine well that all the unlocking etc would happen, it's given it a much bigger following and people still paid money for the phone in the first place.
That's very good marketing for what is really a sub par product.
