had a play with a friends one yesterday and wasnt impressed. its just not as comfortable to hold as the 3gs, the edges are too sharp compared to the smooth curves of the 3gs and i didnt notice the screen looking that much better compared to mine either.
im in absolutely no rush to upgrade.

had a comparison to my 3gs with a new iphon 4 today in the apple store and was shocked with how much better the screen is!
felt nicer and a lot more expensive!
want to wait for the white one but the black is tempting!

Got both here now and can see a difference just not massive, need to watch some vids etc see if I can really appreciate it. But even my mate prefers the 3gs which she had as well, but admits to only getting the 4 because it's new!
We've just tested the signal drop issue and hers drops from 5bars to 1 as soon as you pick it up, then goes back up to 5 when you put it down

When I had a play with one I did think the screen looked good, but when I went back to my ipod touch with the old spec screen, at no point did I think "wow, this looks crap".
Its good, but in my eyes its not enough to justify the price tag on PAYG, and I've always thought the contracts were too expensive.
