They had sold 2 million last time i checked, could be double that now, even apple can't absorb that.
I'm not saying they will recall it.
My guess is they will apply some sort of none conductive coating to the antenna on future models and offer bumpers to owners of the previous versions.
They wont recall it as its not a health/safety risk.
Reported costs are 1.5 billion for a recall.

I can see them denying it all.

I recon they will deny there is a major problem and say they can show that the same effects are found on any handset as shown by these stats "blah blah blah blah"
Say they have fixed a problem with the signal reporting algorithm and now it works much better.

They will update some of the affects in the next ios software and deny the rest I think.

Yeah but remember. There are some people who have been unable to cause the signal drop on release day units so the fact a replacement doesn't could again be pure chance.

The gizmodo story is pure chance, they wouldn't have been able to implement a fix that quick, and if it was a fix they'd surely have made 10000000% sure it really fixed it.

Haven't read each and every post, but has anyone off here actually experienced dropped calls because of this issue?
On a few other forums I've seen plenty of people mentioning the bars dropping but most haven't been getting dropped calls in areas where reception should be fine......just wondered if that's the same on here???

Oooh, and a new iPad OS update as well.
Not that I've had any wifi issues with it at all, despite the Internet telling me I would.....

Wasnt that the idea of the update, to make bars 1,2 and 3 bigger. They are supposed to have amended the algorithm also meaning some people will see less bars.
