Living and dining room now stripped. Ready to go over with sandpaper and fill where needed before painting:
Fireplace still needs rebuilding and a fire installing.
Skirting board now on in back bedroom:
Blue door needs the paint stripping off.

I feel your pain regarding the wallpaper stripping. Had to do one long wall of mine, only took a few hours but it's so boring. It also revealed a shit load of imperfections which needed filling and sanding.
Coming on well though. Looks bad now but I bet it'll look lovely when finished.

The heat from the stripper removed a load of plaster in the living room next to the fireplace, who ever plastered over the existing plaster didn't do a very good job!

Bought it off a guy I work with. He didn't know the value and I looked on eBay and most were down South and £120+. So made a cheeky offer!

^ Not sure what that means, but guess 'good with skirting'?
Because I did my skirting and after painting, it's one of the most horrible jobs I've ever encountered (so far anyway...), get the cut wrong and that's it, but yours looks extremely tidy

Started fitting Victorian light switches and sockets in back bedroom and loft -
Needs cleaning around, and the angle makes it looks way out -

Yeah, trying to keep it that way. There's loads more we could be doing but need to remember the value of the house and what it is. Just an on street terrace, be different if it was a bay windowed fore courted terrace.

First coat of paint around the fire place -
Masking still on.
Sanded and given a first coat over the wiring for the loft bedroom lights -
Started repairing front bedroom floorboards -
Should have all the floorboards down and ready for sanding by midweek.

Floorboards replaced where needed and now ready to be filled and sanded before varnish. 100 year house so it was never going to be perfect, nor would a new floor look right. Fireplace and chimney breast finished too.

Interested to see that bi fold door when fitted. Our kitchen is off the hall and currently has no door as it would take up way too much space. That looks like a good compromise.

Next doors gutter has a lawn, I think it has been causing damp on the wall in the front bedroom. The owner has only been round once since I've owned mine. So today I hung out my loft and cleaned the gutter for him!

Did you use a proper floor sander to do the floorboards or did you use a belt/orbital? Any tips?
Looking at doing something similar but not convinced a belt/orbital will cut it.

Was an industrial belt sander. Found that if we went across the grain first then followed along the grain it worked a lot better. Had course, medium and fine belts.
