It will come out with lots if hype, bigger profile, better camera and NFC, people will say its nothing special and it will still sell shed loads as it's a good progression on from previous models
The days of big advances in phone are virtually gone

All phones are progressing at about the same rate these days. Which is to say hardly at all.

There was a TED talk stating that Tech basically flows at the same rate constantly.

"Tech" is quite a bit broader than "phones" though.
It's also not just a matter of available tech, but how it's utilised.
The original iPhone was a revolutionary product, yet not that impressive from a technical standpoint.

Hopefully the spec of this will be reasonable because the design is absolutely atrocious especially the protruding camera lens. No one has said the 5/5S is a bit too thick They need to stop the gash thinnest war (they're thinner phones anyway), make it the extra 0.5mm thicker (flushing the lens) and include a bigger battery which is what everyone really wants
Edit - Few more pics - http://www.gsmarena.com/apple_iphone_6_compared_to_iphone_5_in_live_photos-news-9454.php
Edit - Supposedly the final design - http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/a-chinese-carrier-just-let-the-iphone-6-out-of-the-bag-1262561. Lack of protruding camera lens seems reasonable; still not sure about the design of it all though.

I need a new phone.
Looks like 6 it is! But I would entertain a 5s at the right price

I'd be very surprised if the final release has a protruding lens, that's likely just some Chinese dude trying to assemble all the leaked parts.
I think the rounded design looks better than the current square design and will no doubt feel more comfortable in the hand, the current iPod Touch is great. Not much for the power button being on the side though and will withhold judgement on the rubber antenna breaks (look a bit cheesy at the mo). Hope the min size is 32gb this time too as for the first time in years my 16gb is full and with stuff I actually need.

Sky news is saying NFC. Call me old fashioned but not sure if I would use the feature due to fear of phone being nicked and or hacked.
I still stand by the fact the 3GS felt so much more comfy in your hand than the 4/5. However, I am not too keen on the look of the new one from the leaks. I suppose the proof will be in actually seeing a real one.
So tempted to get rid of the 5 now as still worth £180, no doubt this will plummet with the announcement of the new one. Not sure I could live without it for weeks tho lol.

Thing is, am I bothered about this wallet thing? No. Am I going to use this health app? No. The only thing I think I'm gonna really gain in reality from the rumours are a better camera

You'll use them all when Apple say you need them, same as everyone else who buys one.

Same as what I thought about finger print on the 5s, and I don't even remember other features, so shows how memorable they actually are.
I'm keeping my 5, and going on a sim only contract. £15 a month, until I decide I want a new phone

I prefer the 4S style to the new one. The way the apps look etc

I prefer the shape of the 6 over the 4/5, always preferred the 3GS shape but the thinness of the 4/5 was nice.
Would love the finger print sensor. Would make my life so much easier.
Camera is the other main feature.

Camera is fine for me, I use it quite a lot. It's not perfect, and can be improved but I don't think the usual camera upgrade is worth it.
If the new phone had twice as much battery life, and nothing else I would upgrade.

Loads of people in my company would dissagree with you there. We have 8 character including numbers and capitals requirement on our phones so just using your fingerprint instead is a HUGE advantage. Everyone I know with the 5S with work connectivity is using the capability

When you can log into any website and pay for anything using it following iOS8 it's use will increase greatly.
I'm still not convinced on the 5.5 inch rumour. Will be annoyed if they release two sizes and the bigger one has better specs.
