TBH im not bothered, i only wat a genuine Apple bumper and as i've bought the phone im entitled to one. Trouble is, i can see them being as hard to get as the actual phones.
Not sure how they are going to do this on their website, maybe enter your IMEI number so that only 1 case per phone is sent. Bit unlucky for all the people who have bought them off eBay etc and first owner nabs one first.

I think if you want a bumper the. The only choice will be to eBay it, as Steve said, they simply can't make enough of them to meet the demand....

There's no way im buying one, ive got the free one i posted on the previous page for now. Ill be first on the website once they go live.

Yes, and you're misunderstanding what's on offer. They're offering cases or bumper refunds. Cases being the definitive word there.

i doubt they will offer bumpers, it will be some cheap knock off cases that cost them pennies, which has saved apple a lot ofmoney in recalls or issuing genuine bumpers

pretty sure i read they "would source cases from other manufacturers" meaning no chance your getting the official one, be some cheap knock off they bulk buy from ebay haha

The way i read it was that they would offer bumpers, but they can't make enough so they will offer other 'cases' too in order to ensure there are enough avaliable. Cleverly worded and a bumper on the example picture makes it misleading.

Doesn't surprise me that much. They were trying to downplay the fact they might have a problem, and when there are videos publicly posted of similar problems with other phones its not that much of a surprise they'd use them.
Even if they had of said there was a problem, they make it look less serious.

I think the don't hold it that way and use a bumper if you have probs approach would have sufficed. Using other phones like that will hurt their rep much more!
