sounds/looks like you have either lost spark or compreesion, you need a garage as you wont be able to check either unless you have a spark plug lying arround?

i replaced the belt with a leather trouser belt. the spark plug with house plugs and the crank with one off a bike, theres your problem

Take the plugs out and post a pic. Might just be flooded. If the plugs are wet clean them up and try again.

TBH it was running good and i imagine he didn't mess around with the leads and there isn't a rotor arm.

See if the expansion tank water smells of petrol.
See the end of the HT lead it has some liquid on it is the moister or petrol? If it petrol the spark plugs won't be on properly.
Those engines don't start with a fucked crank sensor it seems, so take out a spark plug plug it back into the correct lead and hold the end against the inlet manifold and turn the key to start the engine, look at it to see if there is a spark. don't hold the lead with your hands.

And then take a video as doyle sparks it on some petrol and sets himself and the car on fire 
He doesnt even know how to remove a spark plug FFS! Id expect that to be like doing a degree in Algebra with your left hand for that cunt
