Yeah it depends on the screen size, 720p on a 32 in hd enough, above that 1080p comes into it but on a display 4ins you dont need as many pixels as say a 32in screen.

I would wait till you can see one in the flesh. If its as well made as other phones it will make the others even with similar shape look very ordinary

Im more than happy with the current screen.
You are only saying that because this has just meant your ipad was an even bigger waste of money.
78% of the screen real estate in a smaller package with a phone built in.

I will probably get an iPhone this time. Managed to avoid them for so long.
iPhone for 18 months then Android will have truely taken over

I'll wait until I see the prices.
I want that screen but I don't want to sign up to £50 for the rest of my life to get it.

Will be between £100-£350 upfront for the handset then can get a nice £35 per month for 18 months at a guess.
I will just get the base model as I don't need the storage.

Well I was an early adopter to Android so I have helped fuel the fire. By the time 3.0 comes out on a dual core Qualcomm chip that will be amazing!

That would stop me buying it when I can get a desire for free on a 27.50 a month contract, the extra pixels aren't worth an extra 400 quid over an equivalent phone.

I hated making the jump from 12-18 so I really don't want to go to 24!

The jump to 24 does not really bother me much to be honest if the price is right. as it seems that they are pretty set on 12 month cycles now so it just means you miss out every other model.
I did hate the jump to 18 months but with most top end phones its the way they are all going.

The jump to 18 pissed me off as i had a w880i.. shit shit phone!
iphone came out and it felt like forever before i could upgrade.. then 3gs came out and again felt like ages.. but with the iphone 4 its bang on upgrade time.. but having just a 3g iphone hasn't been painful tbh. i use it more than my laptop. i can lay in bed browsing the net, looking on youtube etc.
if everything works aswell on the 4 i cant see 24 months being too much of a chore
