That's not what I said, I said it would enable both.
Think about an iPhone homescreen, forget that the 4 and 4S screens are much better quality than the 3G and S, but the icons are all roughly the same size, yet the 4S has a much higher res screen.
It's the same thing.

  I don't know if you 2 are taking the piss or not.
You could have an infinite number more pixels on the physical screen, leave everything the same size as it is currently, it just makes everything sharper.
Because it's got more pixels it can also render letters which are much smaller, meaning I can zoom out even further.
Take the way zooming in works just now, I could basically zoom out further yet still be able to read the writing, it wouldn't just go to a garbled mess.

I understand with a higher res there will be more pixels (i.e detail) on the screen yet things can still be the same size.
But I thought when you were talking about having 'more' on the screen you were reffering to being able to see more of, for example a webpage within the same space, which would mean stuff would need to be smaller.
Didn't you even post a screen shot of two browsers showing with one showing more of a webpage? Maybe thats what confused me.

I did, you can fit more on.
I posted a comparison of a desire S and an iphone, that's slightly different though, the android browser actually shows more than the iphone although the iphone screen is higher res.

not all stuff will be like that, only text really, that is rendered properly, and apple homescreen icons.
for web browsing things will look stupidly small, eg you cant render images larger and smoother at higher res they will jsut get smaller

I was tempted to sell my 2 about a month ago, but i just use it to much, at home it gets used more than the PC or the Macbook! I know if i sold it and it was a month before i managed to get a 3 id be pissed off
Has anyone ever considered getting the Seagate wifi drives to go with theres?
My sister is being deployed to Iran at the end of the year and she wants to take an iPad loaded with films and music but you won't get much on 16/32/64 so I have recomended she looks goes for a Seagate Goflex Satellite
