I'll try that later steve, they all want to convert the file instead of remux it though so don't hold much hope, they can only recode it in the same way.
It's a 7 gig mkv, that's why it's taking so long.

Most annoying thing I have found so far is that some videos I have taken which I then put onto my computer to put on YouTube are sideways. Filmed with the camera held landscape so you'd think the software would know this is how I wanted the video to be.

You can move them round with Microsoft Movie Maker or whatever it is.

Oh, one question I have. Can you create folders etc in the photo bit? As I would like to keep some stuff together and separate etc. Can't seem to figure out if i can.
I do it on my mac using iphoto - not sure if there are other ways
Can you do this in itunes or on the phone?
I want a folder for my backgrounds, seperate from my normal pics.

It only plays mp4, there are players that will have a go at playing avi and other formats but it's Apple so nobody but apple is allowed access to the hardware decoding chip, so they don't work very well.
I think any encoder would take the same amount of time for the file I was using, lucky I won't have to do it often, if ever.

I'm assuming you've tried to update it and thats whats caused it? I can't update it at all on my PC and its buggered it up twice, but can on my housemates ones with no problem.
