Bad times  I was thoroughly enjoying myself playing seamless games of MW3 back to back.
Its nice to play a game without the arcade like sniper range on shotguns, and all the quickscoping noobs in BF3

I was being sarcastic. It works fine, can't understand why you are saying its unplayable.
The shot guns in BC2 were exactly the same if you had a 12g slug they were decent long range weapons. Personally I love that 
Wasn't aware you could quick scope in BF3, thought that was a COD thing.

you cant quick scope in BF3, but yet in MW3 you can run around with a shot gun , jump, spin around 720 degrees and shoot someone from 20 metres away, WELL REALISTIC that is

if you want a war simulator with full damage, decent vehicles, better weapons, noises, attachments, gameplay then you buy BF3.
if you want a kids game you buy MW3

if I want endless conection issues, shotguns with more range than a sniper, and running 10 minutes to be shot by people laying on the floor in corners I'll be sure to jump on 
If I want to enjoy a fun, playable game with tight controls, smooth gameplay where I can use skill to navigate tight maps and flank the opposition I'll pick up MW3.
If I enjoy to play each game for what it is, I'll play both... like I do.

There are no connection issues, shot guns don't have more range than sniper rifles. If you're running for 10 minutes you're playing it wrong.

smooth gameplay
i have both games sat at home for the PS3, i can put BF3 in and i get no problems, but if i put MW3 in i search for games, it searches............and searches............. finds a game, sticks you in, put you in front of an enemy to be shot in the back with a pistol.
respawn - run around and end up running into a wall because it lags, kick you out of the game, rejoin, get shot in the back by someone with a pistol (probably from the same clan hiding in the same spot)
get kicked out, rejoin, someone with coloured writing is running around with 5 shotguns shooting claymores at people

Just to clarify, I have no problems with BF3, just doesnt really suit me. I enjoy to play it but only for an hour tops. I'm too used to the run and gun style of COD.
In fairness, I've never played BF in a party so that may change my views.

Yeah the problems may or may not have been farcical 
I stick with the shotguns though, they have ridiculous range. Doesnt mean they arn't extremely fun to use though

You tried with a 12g slug yet? I haven't got that unlocked yet but if it's like it was in BC2 it is absolutely lethal at distance

Thats the one I mean, think there is another too? There is NO WAY any COD shotgun has more range. Even the 1887s didnt have the range.
They need it for BF3 really though, the maps are so open and big that anything less would almost be useless.

870 MCS with 12g slugs was my favourite gun in BC2. I was like a boss with that set up.
I'd be up a hill somewhere with Jonny on heavy metal with him sniping and I'd be able to get head shots on people across the valley, not as far as he could using the sniper but still impressive
