Will be interesting to see how this works. I wonder if it will auto detect screen resolution and change accordingly or if there is a manual setting to change the UI size.
Auto detect might be an issue unless it knows what size display you're using.

Pretty sure its all automatic. It will sense when its in the scaled mode i.e. 1920x1200 and use the high res graphics accordingly
Apple mentioned that application would need to be updated to take advantage of the higher res so they are just doing this (in the same way Apple have done many of thier own apps like iPhoto)

There seems to have been some complaints that the GPU is not up to the task of handling the high res UI.
The result is a pretty shitty framerate in transitions.
Lets hope this is a bug that's fixable by update.

I should have waited.. Installed iOS6 on iPad and only seems to work on certain wifi networks
Going to put 5.1.1 back on until a better beta lol

Really don't like traffic in iOS6 - due to it only showing traffic you loose all the positive-false alterts i.e. where you KNOW its OK. With the iOS system you have no idea how many of the roads are actually monitored

this sounds really good actually, as everything will be vector, looking at a city from far away will already be cached so no need to wait for loading when zooming in etc.
