True it's similar. Although iOS7 seems to be near enough identical, down to the use of rounded corners on the 'app cards'.

There's very few advantages going to 64bit, usually it's if you need to handle extremely large floating points or need to address lots of RAM - both unlikely to happen in a mobile environments.
