Looks like the crap battery may be caused by using gps to set timezone.
I've turned this off to see how it goes the rest of the day.

Is it good??
Erm...
To be honest i was a little disappointed.
Its good, really quick, even compared to the missus 4. Loading facebook was twice as quick.
Ive just gone from the 3g to the 4s, and i kind of expected more than i got.
Its just an identical phone with siri. Dont really know what i was expecting though tbh.
Still an awesome phone. Siri isnt that great either atm. Sometimes what it thinks i said is miles off. Im sure it will get better though

I was in the Orange shop before and had a play with an iPad 2 for the first time. They feel really nice to hold and use, well made. I can see why people would like the iPhone 5 to be a smaller version of it.

If it's possible to swap out your default calendar app by doing this, surely it's possible to swap out yelp etc for a more British regional service?

Battery is down to 90% already in 2 hours, all I've done is send a couple of imessages.
Let the battery completely die then fully charge last night so that's made no difference, it died about 11 so that gave a total of 18 hours of very light use, not very good.

Rage.
Really? Whenever I've changed address on debit/credit card accounts it's always been instant.

Just above halfway, set to auto, it's not been on much though.

I've been carrying the cable about with me, would be too difficult to use micro usb like the rest of the world.
Something fishy is going on though, usage says 1 hour 15 minutes, I've been using it for maybe 10 minutes altogether.

What apps have you installed?
Any mail accounts/Facebook/Twitter/Skype etc. set up?

Twitter, an IMAP gmail account and one setup as exchange, set to 15 minute fetch instead of push yesterday to try and rule that out, twitter only retrieves when I go into the app.
It's a right pita since they go on about power management and that being a reason they don't have proper multi tasking.

I guess you either have a duff battery or something is running in the background that you don't know about. My 4 is ok on battery now, I could probably get 2 days out of it if I don't play games although it did take a few charges to get the battery life up to scratch.
Did you manage to sell the one you had on eBay btw?

Is there an app you can download which tells you what's running in the background? I seem to remember there was something similar you can get for Android phones.
Might be worth looking into, the iPhone has shitloads of settings for comms related stuff and it's easy to miss something which is constantly going online for example.

£9 but then no different to carrying the other cable about with you.

Looked through all of that. Turned off anything immediately obvious. If I turn off anymore though I might as well have a nokia.

I read that 'fetching' regularly actually uses more battery than 'push'.

Yup fetching is always going to cost you more as your telling your phone to go and look for mail i.e. make connections etc.
Push uses no extra as its running on the push notification which is running anyway on the machine. With Push you will only use extra battery when your picking up mail
