the bath/shower will be built into the window (once the new one is fitted)... so the shower curtain is just a temp measure

It's quite cool isn't it

That's the second one we bought....we did have a quite expensive one, but when we decided to put in an en suite we chose to keep that one for in there and just buy a cheap one for the main bathroom since it won't be used as much eventually

That one was about £80 off ebay....quite impressed with it

pressure you cant really get an idea of as its so bloody wet

Its a great shower... its not the sort to worry about high pressure/power shower... its more like a heavy heavy (very heavy) rain storm.

The shower for the 2nd shower/en suite is the same idea but round (more like a sunflower)

done a bit more work in the kitchen..

Underlined the walls, painted the roof and cornice. Cornice will 100% need a coat in oil based paint as the aul wifey must have smoked like a chimney in there. The white paint is yellow already.

Kitchen arrived on sat morning... all seems ok apart from a dented dishwasher.

Planning permission has been conditionaly granted for the windows. Still waiting for building warrants for the new door and work to the old kitchen.

Have you had any of he walls skimmed?

If not what are you prepping the walls with before painting?

fill / sand / lining paper
one wall will need replastered / skimmed in the master bedroom as there must have been a leaky pipe at some point and it's bulging a bitty

other than that they've been in pretty good condition

Its been plasterboarded (poorly) where a backboiler system was put in yonks ago... All the will need removed now anyway with the new central heating.

I think people go for the option of re-plastering walls too easily. Fair enough i've filled bigger holes with a rougher gyproc filler, and skimmed imperfections (where picture rails have been etc) with a smooth ready made filler.

None of its B&Q polyfilla mince though feckin awfull stuff

I'll block off the area between the toilet and plyinth with a bit of excess plynth (is there any). Just cant get it out of my head that it looks a bit unfinished.

Fee - can you see what the framed section at the end of the bath is like for height? I.e place a cut/broken tile on it and see if the height is ok, or how much it needs to be raised?
