I managed to get mines jailroken eventully, managed to get it back to 4.1 and used redsnow to jailbreak it, happy days

took fucking ages to do it mate, kept throwing up error codes as well but manged to get round it, probs just better waiting for the 4.2 jailbreak

does anyone know if there is anything better than ultrasnow to use to unlock my phone? it runs the ultrasnow program fine but when i put my orange simcard in it just comes up searching in the top left of the screen.
anyone got any ideas?
edit, sometimes it says searching and other times it says no service.

They were waiting for Apple to release the new iOS to see if it could be used for both. I think Apple actually blocked the exploit they were using so now they're just gonna release the 4.2.1 version.
BUT, a 4.3 untethered exploit has been found too. (apparently)
I'm using mine on the tethered redsn0w. I just make sure I charge it up often.

Sounds exactly like my iphone 3G 16gb , ultrasnow worked fine and my orange simcard aswell says either searching or no service .
Anyway around this need to use my phone lol

Shame this expolit has been fixed in 4.3 which is out in 9 days

There is a windows version now.
I just used the mac version on top of Redsn0w and it's all working

Just done an iPad 4.2.1 greenpois0n over the top of redsn0w didn't get the loader for Cydia but I think that is known bug, as I already had Cydia from the redsn0w JB it's was all fine and now seems to be working untethered

I found it worked better if you do redsnow tethered then greenpois0n over the top of redsnow
I did mine that way and did my mates with just greenpoison and mine seems to run faster
