Surprised spam barnes can muster up the wherewithal to work out how to press the icons on an iPhone.
On a serious note, apple stealing stuff again.

Linked twice because I'm so disgusted at them and not because I had pasted that before reading barnes and got distracted.

I think I can speak for Hammer and myself when I say we don't really think enough either way to go about doing anything towards you. Would be the same with some other random spammer.

Was reading about this this morning but it sounds like SBB have allowed other companies in the past to use the clock design and haven't gone chasing to protect their trademark/patent. And from what i understand (no doubt i'm wrong), this wouldn't stand up in court as SBB have allowed their patent/trademark to lapse.
In other news, it looks like Apple are shitting themselves over iMaps and getting people in to fix it - HERE

Apple's Cook sorry for Maps errors, suggests rivals
Really surprised Cook has suggested that users should use rivals, i think that's a huge mistake in getting users to make the switch and certainly wouldn't be something Jobs would have suggested. Then again, Jobs wouldn't have released Apple Maps in the condition it's in.
Edit - Actual letter from Cook - http://www.apple.com/letter-from-tim-cook-on-maps/

Yup!
I'm surprised that the maps app appears to have been a knee-jerk reaction to the ending of license agreement with Google and in-turn rushed out without any real testing (or perhaps they were relying on TomTom/other map vendors too much in terms of accuracy). I would have thought they would have been planning this years before the agreement was up.
However, it does make you question whether or not Cook has the minerals to keep Apple on the path Jobs set out on and/or if this is the start of the bubble bursting.

Jobs would of blamed the users for doing it wrong.

You reckon?
It's certainly a big bubble if it does burst and i can see it having a knock-on effect with other products/manufacturers.
I do wonder if this is just a blip and a cock-up similar to Antennagate, although you would think being Cook's first major product it'd be absolutely perfect in every way.
adiohead - i doubt it would have been released had it been Jobs in control. And if it had, then heads would be rolling all over the shop and he'd keep quiet until the last minute.
Although he certainly wouldn't be recommending users to use rival products though

It is a big bubble, I've always had a feeling it had to burst. Jobs not being there will hurry it along.
If they end up being the same as everyone else, you might as well just buy the cheaper version.

I doubt their bubble will burst.
But if it does then it'll go back to only the really cool people having Apple stuff.

Lets not get carried away, Apple maps is exponentially better than the google maps it replaced, just needs more data.
Also lets not forget Google wanted a lot more of your personal information, Apple said no.
