had my car on the ramp at kwik fit and there was a really bad smell of petrol, i also get the smell inside the car when i start it.
took it to vauxhall but they blamed my ecotek valve.
any suggestions?

i had smell of petrol in my gsi the other day after when i had my heavy right boot on smell was coming from right hand side of engine near injector and battery aint smelt it again yet but put if down a breather or something cos my head had just been rebuilt try taking your ecotek valve off and see if u can still smell it

You don't normally see it, as petrol evaporates quickly when exposed to air.
