be careful with the hot oil.
and just put a bit of oil around the new filter to ensure a decent seal.

i couldn't be arsed with the flush, but might do a flush next time.

i change my oil and filter every 5000km without fail. I see it as cheap insurance.. skimping on oil changes is poor economy in my view especially if ur into giving ur motor a tough time.
