What are the symptoms of a blocked/knackered fuel filter? Gettin trouble when i put my foot down, its havin trouble revvin up, and its runnin rough first thing in a morning...

Thought its either that or due to the fact that my exhaust is broken atm (waiting for a new one). Can't find any other reasons... so what dya think?
