hi, i recently bought a corsa sxi for my first car (and also to modify!)
the first thing i did was colour code the arches.. which was easy
i removed the side strips recently and the right looks perfect but on the left there seems to major discolouration (like a sorta white film on top of the paint) i have tried t cuting it off.. but no luck.
(look at this image!)
and here is the otherside which is fine
i used the same "technique" on both sides
thanks in advance!

Can't see the pictures, but i know what u mean. Unfortunatly there is nothing you can do. Try coloured T-Cut, then polish, but if this fails, then its a respray job im afraid.
AS i say, i can't see the pictures (Red X) but if its like the side strip mark below, then doh, respray the door.
PArt of the reason for doing my whole car.

Well if its only 1 door, £70-£100.
I had my whole car resprayed along with the kit etc and some dmage repaired. But most bodyshops should only charge that kinda price.
Take the door off yourself and alll trimmings etc and pop it down there. Prob can be done in 2-3 days.

I'm half way through color-coding mine (the back ones are done), but the fronts are a bit of a bugger to get off. I've done the boot handle and think you should too, and the wing mirrors if they aren't already

paint the bump strips, if they are the small ones get some new style ones, far better as then at least you have some protection form dents etc.

Can you feel the film on the paintwork? Might just be stubborn blue. Best thing Ive found to remove this was AutoGlym Intensive Tar Remover (and its bodywork/paint friendly). Rubs the stuff straight off, used it when I removed the strips off my old nova!
