vaguely know this bloke that owns a garage with a well respected exhaust section to it. Offered me £210 cash for a stainless steel full system, with liftetime guarentee, any style i want including fitting and everything. Strikes me as a pretty good deal?

there are different grades of stainless steel, , some more stainless than others! 
seems a good price though, i paid just over 300 for a full powerflow system with a decat too.

find out what grade of steel he is using. you want 304 at least

It will be ok but you dont want to keep on going back every couple of months for a new one, listen to vibs 304 no less.
