just been caught for speeding by the speed gun, got 3 points and £60 fine!!

officer said i should tell the insurance company straight away?
Will my premium go up straight away??? how much???

i still have 5 months left till insurnace runs out??

is it your first offence?

if so your insurance wont go up by much if it goes up at all. mine didnt and i still havent told them yet,

but i just renewed it the day b4.

its my first offence which gave me points!!

so...will it go up Straight away as soon as i tell them even thou i got 5 months left till renewal

no they can wait till u have to renew before it goes up, depends who u are with!

You should be alright, if it goes up it wont be by much, depends what your speeding code is though. As in how much over the limit and such.

You dont need to tell your insurance company until the next time you renew.

Just dont tell them, you are doing nothing wrong as the insurance was taken out at a set time with the present situation taken into account, you are then covered for a year, if you were to get 9 points you wouldnt even have to tell them.

id tell them straight away, you will have to tell them sooner or later so better to be safe and all

im with "zenith" fully comp as named driver, i got a sp30 doing 49mph in a 30mph zone,

u reckon they will increase the premium straight away??

premium wont go up until its renewed for your next years insurance, the price u pay is a fixed price for the year regardless, just adds onto your premium the following year!

are u sure mate coz im a broke student and cant afford to pay any more on insurance thats why im hesitating to tell the insurance u see??

i got an SP30 and got 6 points for it, this was my first offence apparently to get 6 points for an SP30 it good going, i aint told my insurers either!!!!
Just wait till renewal matey at least you only got a £60 fine mine was £155 that includes £35 court fees!!!

60 in a 30 = Ban
70 in a 40 = Ban
80 in a 50 = Ban
90 in a 60 = Ban
100 in a 70 = Ban

Basically 30mph over the limit and there is a good chance you will get banned but saying that my mate was followed unknowinly by an unmarked police car down the motorway for over a mile
He was in his scooby and his adverage spped over the mile was 97mph so at some points he went above and some below, 3points and £60 depends on the copper really

are you sure about the 60 in 30 BAN??

i did 49 in a 30, officer said if i had done 50 i would be BANNED!!!!!!

ive got 5 months,till june,wen my insurance runs out!
but im gonna renew it on another company in april when i turn 21, so i only got 2 months to wait

i want to tell the insurance company now but i dont want the premium to go up as im only gonna be with them for another 2 months?
