just had me engine fuck up on me corsa (1993) for the second time in 2 months, so i think its time for a change.
currently got an 8v 1.4 sri and i want to stick in a 16v 1.6. gonna ask around a few scrappies for an engine with a guarantee, but what else besides the engine will i need to buy i.e. gearbox, wiring loom etc

gearbox, engine loom, ecu, engine. might wanna uprate your brakes too.

nope, i think ur old mounts will be fine. also you can prob use ur old fuel pump too. you might need two nut things of a 16v engine fuel lines, someone else will describe it better

ltho the 1.6 16v is more tunable than the 2ltr i must say

driveshafts & hubs are the same
radiator is the same
hoses are different
header tank is different
engine mounts are different
gearbox are the same
ecu & loom are different

if youve got power steering then its a pain cos a special one off top engine mount is required for pulley etc..

as i decided to go for power tseering i decided it was to much of a pain altho the 1.6 16v is more tunable than the 2ltr and gives better handling
