What will lead to head gasket going? Just too many revs too often etc, or what?

ufortunately, there is no way of telling when your head gasket is gonna go. I have heard some nightmare stories of brand new cars with knackered head gaskets after like 500 miles. Then again, you might never suffer from it. However, redlining all the time will do it no good in the long run, and will reduce the life of your engine. Just check oil and coolant regularly and change both at least every 10k miles, or even 5k miles if you have the time.
