Folks, picked one of the above up the other day. Got it booked for fitting on Sat. (was gonna do it myself but realised I didn't have the torx nuts for removing the engine bolt)
Anway this 57i kit doesn't come with a cold air feed so I was wondering would it make any difference if I routed some 1.5 inch wide flexable hose (I got some that's used for water pumps in gardens) from under the lower grille and fed this up towards the K+N cone filter. Would this make any difference to the performance of the filter?
Some models come with a pipe feed but this one doesn't and the k+N will only be getting the air supplied that is already under the bonnet, i.e slightly warm air.
Any info? tips?
Thanks
Allan

Use the cold air feed that is already there that supplies the standard air box with cold air.

yeah I've seen the standard one but in the instructions it's kinda looks like this is removed?
Anyway would a second pipe make any difference?

yeah more cold air getting directed to it the better so another pipe is a good idea. i have the original air feed and another pipe near the lower grill feeding air to my bfo.
where abouts you in l'pool are you btw?

I'm in the Swan m8. Thanks all for the info
I'll add the second pipe anyway. Can't do much harm.
