As above, i am about to buy some 7 x 18" alloys, to use with std archs, they will fit ok as is, but with spacers i will be in trouble!!!!

Will the coilovers fit with these wheels???

with the fk coilovers and et45 18's you need 3mm spacers to to stop them catching

I got bk 7.5" x 18" alloys. et45. One std arches (rear arches modified) with spax suspension. Front lowered 40mm rear approx 60mm (with ICE). No catches and no scrubbing on full lock and no spacers.

my rear archs are 'modified' and my Et45 7.5 x 16's still catch over big bumps, how the hell u manage 18's without rubbing???

Yep just to back him up, with my spax RSX coilovers and 7" et45 I need at least 3mm spacer to get clearance

I thought coilovers are narrower than conventional shoxs, therefore giving wheel clearance from the strut??

The dampers can be slightly narrower than conventional but then you have to consider their is a spring around the damper body. Conventional have a spring pan attached way up past the top of the wheel (unless your running 19's...) so their is JUST the dia of the damper body at the side of the wheel. bit of a crap explanation but hope it helps...

the spring and cup are long and skinny instead of short and fat

the short and fat one sits up inside the arch, clearing the wheel, the long one comes further down and thus hits the wheel

yeah i know what u 2 mean, is there any chance that different makes of coilovers might be thin enuff???
Do u know the diameter of the spax springs?

Also does this 3mm spacer mean it rubs at the front or not?

If ure interested in the archs U2U me...

3mm on made a bit of differnce, with it as low as it is on front it ment that i had to trim even more off my front arches, they are practicly hollow on the back now

3mm on mine means they catch the tyres all time, nothing major tho
