RT's must be around the 110-120bhp mark

I reckon it would out-accelerate it from standing but would be pretty even up at the top...

forget the hp rating , the car has 400cc more
it will eat the corsa without a problem,
not forgetting it must weigh less too

i thought 95bhp on a 1.8 was shocking too, looked on parkers which says its 95bhp but it doesnt show the 0-60 time

it will rape the corsa. mates 1.4 rt used to be not much slower than mine on the flat and its 20 bhp less. they dont weigh very much.

just found out 0-60 time is 10.2, thats 0.3 of a second quicker than the corsa 1.4 sport. not much difference, especially when u consider that the clios a 1.8!!

thats 0-60, anymore high speed than that and the clio would rape its arse. it will also have it through the gears.

I did not know that
I kept up with my mates 1.9 205 just about which was using the 1.6 gearbox however that was a rolling start, off the line i feel he would have had me.
like i said before the rsi is a great fun car to drive and the insurance aint that bad
visit http://www.geocities.com/mycliorsi to see mine
even tho you were talking about the rt

Clio RSi (110bhp) is 0-60 - 9.3secs. Figure from Autocar roadtest. (Corsa GSi is 8.7 btw )
Never heard of this 1.8 RT

look on cliosport.net, read it on there a while ago.
rsi has more low down torque than the 16v. mate has owned both, has the 16v now and has said the same.
1.8 rt was replaced by the rsi. you can only get it on j/k plates i think.

same for the astra gte and gte 16v, 8v has more pulling power down the rev range.

Corsa GSi is quicker 30-70 through the gears than the Clio RSi. Smaller engine and 16 valver. Again figuers from Autocar.

yeah it might only be 95bhp, but it will have a high torque figure to match, simply because of the extra CC's. Its also a lot lighter than the corsa. The GSi will be quicker though, simply because of the increased midrange torque.
