..has anyone done this?
Was thinking about taking off my cam cover and spraying it Star Silver to give it a bit more shine.
Just want to hear from people that have done this to see how the paint has coped with prolonged heat exposure.

i got mine painted by a m8 n had no problems with flaking/heat exposure etc

I've got the rocker cover painted matt black to help heat dissapation off the engine, I used some 600grit wet and dry to ruff the surface off before painted and put 3 layers of paint down taking it back each time but the last, look nice.

I'm sand blasting mine first, as its covered in crap, gotta compleatly seal the bottom of it though if ya do this, cos you don't want it roughed up or covered in grit. Then I'm gonna paint it with normal paint and laquer, hopefully won't bubble
