reeto ive popped the box on me 96 corsa 1.2 8v seen as im gonna take that out thought id swap the box and engine cos the engines sounding welll tired (rattling like a bitch and burnin oil), i wanna put a 1.6 8v in it out of a cavalier/astra/nova, now an early one of those has no chip, i wanna swap the ecu and lump and that over, but ive been told my ignition barrel wont work it, but i thought as id be fitting an ecu that doesnt need chip key it would treat my ignition barrel as a non chip one and jus ignore the chip and that??? help me cos im confused as f**k help cos i wanna put me car back together

Well, the engines wiring loom won't 'connect' without bodging it, into the corsas. It would be complex, so best off just getting a corsa engine, it will be easier.
I have a complete 1.2 8v engine here £60 which will tide you over until you get a bigger one
