Is it possibly for the rubbers in the engine mounts to become worn and not hold the engine properly?? If it is then can they be replaced??
The reason i'm asking is that I think thats the reason my exhaust has split at the welds because of the excess movement of the engine causing it to flex badly, not good

yes they will go in time
think people are thinking about the metal part on not the rubber part
you best bet is to buy new ones and send them to be Vulconized (then inject rubber into the gaps which makes the rubber more solid, a truck tyre place should be able to do it.
OR Cheap option
inject stickoflex into the gaps basic the same things but will take time to make it look tidy

Beardy your right enough, its the rubbers that are weak, not the actual mounts, does anyone know of a place or contact in scotland that will sort this as theres no way i'm putting another exhaust on the car till its fixed
