this amp do the trick?
If you want Audiobahn performance in a smaller package, check out the Intake series amps! A built-in air intake and a cooling fan ensures that these compact workhorses will stay cool through hours of ...heavy use. The A8000T pumps out 400 watts RMS of MOSFET-fueled Class AB power to your 4-ohm subwoofer. Hook up a 2-ohm load, and you get twice the output!
* 400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
* 800 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms
* MOSFET power supply
* requires 4-gauge power and ground leads wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
* three 30-amp fuses
* 50-120 Hz low-pass crossover, 18 dB/octave
* bass boost (switchable on/off)
* variable (20-50 Hz) subsonic filter
* preamp outputs
* cooling fan
* cobalt blue illumination
* speaker- and preamp-level inputs
* 9-7/8"W x 1-7/8"H x 11-13/16"D

yes that amp will work wonders mate just make sure that you turn the gains down a tad when you finished running the sub in etc Because i dont know how well audiobahn subs like to have an extra 100wRMS (thats if the amp wacks out the quote RMS figure at 2ohms) being pumped into them....but i cant see anything wrong with 750wRMS or something etc

personally i would still follow the 2 weeks at quiet levels then gradually build it up and turn the gains up (to zero point) for the next month or so
there are a few ways to run the sub in quicker, but its alot more hassle than doing it that way

im havin the a8002t shipped over from america! it should arrive in a week or two to power my two audiobahn aw121t's which are single voice coil 550rms. i got my subs from the local audiobahn dealer a week ago and he said that my amp would be too powerful for those subs in 2 ohm. he said that they halve the rms of the subs to estimate the correct running capacity of them, cos he recommended an amp of half the power for them!
id recommend shipping over an amp if you know someone in america that can send it as a gift! but if you browse ebay.com you will find loads of amps like kicker, rockford fosgate, audiobahn for really cheap!
hope this helps

you looking for a digital monoblock or class AB?
monoblock will be more affordable, better efficiency, slightly poorer SQ
Class AB will be good SQ, slightly less efficient but more expensive

There is THIS vibe monoblock for £250 which puts out 600 RMS at 2ohm
cant find any class AB for around your budget near the power you want.
To be totally honest, the audiobahn ratings are slightly adventurous, so dont be afraid of underpowering them by 50 or 100 rms, the sound will be much clearer
