From my experience spending loads on a ice set up is stupid. (wait to be shouted down by others!) Anyway basic set up you should be looking at - mp3 head unit - £150 for a nice pioneer one. Front 17cm components - £100. Rear sub - £80. Then one or two amps to power = £200. Cables etc. £40. Total cost = under £600.

1. vibe are pants stay away
2. max power is pants stay away
3. 800 is quite abit of cash...so loads of choice
4. dont buy 6x9s

anyways, i would spend about 200 quid+ on a decent HU..alpine/pioneer are pretty good stuff around this price range

then get a decent set of comps up front...infinity's around the 80 quid mark are good, but you can spend up to 200 quid again for that kinda stuff.

subs...well i would spend as much as possible alpines are alright for the cash..

then amps for the sub(s) and comps...and decent wiring mate.

best bet is to look on caraudiodirect.com and basejunkies.com. They have deals all the time, so thats the best way
