I'm connecting up some 6x9s for a friend but she wants to keep the standard tape headunit, i know how to connect the wires up the speaker end but how do i connect the other end into the headunit? will there be socket to plug into or can i wire them directly into the loom?
Cheers, james

What tape hu is it, a std manufacturer one??
If it is it'l be like 2w rms and NEVER power 6x9's properly.
Either change the hu for a better tape one (if she likes tapes) or get an amp.

hmm, u can do it, but dont expect it to sound good at all.
If u r gonna do it, just extend the wires the old speakers are connected to so that they reach the 6x9's, job done.

yeah u shud be able to find the wires, if its a real base model, it might not have them.
If it hasny got them, just trun them in, and solder them to the hu.
