i was lucky... i bought a set of dials with revcounter of a fella on here for my 1.2 8v and when they came they had white lockwoods and red needles already on them.

How hard is it to paint the needles? any one done this?

Filby1 - Just put some paper behind the needles so u dont mark the dials and for example u want ya needles black u could just use permanent black marker pen, or even nail varnish...as long as it adheres and drys on the surface then it dont matter...I would suggest marker pen tho

Just get two spoons behind the needle boss and lever them off. scrape the paint off with a stanley blade and I used a touch up pen to paint them. Refit when dry by pushing on. 20 mins once you got the clocks out.

Word of advice. If your thinking of fitting coloured leds behind white dials, they will only show any colour if the numbers etc are NOT orange. Orange acts as a filter for most other colours of light.
If the dial numbers are any other colour then its not a problem.

So red leds behind amber/orange nubers on the dials would not show very well? what about green numbers?
