Right im trying to change my rear shocks, but the bolts are seized i think, they just wont come off, even tried hammering the spanner.
any ideas how to undo this bolt

which bolts are giving the problem? have u got a torque wrench?

try a torque wrench or a normal racthet n socket get more 'power' from one of those rather than a combi spanner... and spray some sort of solvent cleaner (carb cleaner, etc) on the bolt maybe it'll loosen it up?! If the bolt wont budge it might of been cross-threaded..

if your not using the shocks your removing, then use a blowtorch to heat up the bolt & it should become free.
if you are using the shocks again, be careful, and you will need to replace the bushes because of damage from the heat!

use yer 17mm spanner as normal but lock another spanner onto the end of it so u have more leverage. That will get them out.
if you have some WD40 hanging around use that also.

Yeah and if its the bottom bolts that are the problem (ones on the trailing arm) dont worry about cross threading as you can always drill it out and use a slightly longer bolt and stick a new nut on the head of the nackered drilled out nut which is tac welded to the trailing arm if you get me...

its actually the top of the shocks that normally give hassle cos ya have to stretch into the boot to get at them

done the top nuts no problem, just these lower ones
