how do ya get the lines of the fuel filter they seem to be on clips o somethin how do they come of the filter??

What type of clip, plastic or metal ones?
If plastic then it sort of splits in half if i remember right (note this style clip is always replaced by dealer when fitting new fuel filter as it can brake).
If metal then squeeze the clip together on the points that stick up this then makes the clip able to slip up or down the pipe.

yeah use a pair of needle nose pliers to sqeeze the clips in and they just pull off, then simply snap back on
