was working on door panel and i maneged to short a wire!!!
fuse NO.1 blowed and so i replaced it under the driver footwell
BUT it didnt fix it!! the alarm dont work at all, same with interior light and MFD!!

check all your fuses again, what wire have you shorted? try disconnecting the battery and then connecting it up again. I have had problems like this before it tends to be another blown fuse

it was a wire i routed my self for the flashing door pins!! think the live touched the cars body!!
all my footwell neons and door pin leds are wired upto a single point on the fuse box which is always live......but it isnt live any more at all!!!
you think ti could be a fuse blown under the bonnet??
il try wat you said for now....

yeh the only thing to do is check everyfuse again and check if you fried the metal on your fusebox where all these wires are wired up to then.

turned out the fuse i used to replace the blown one was also blown so changed it again

yeah i do ?? its a 94 L reg Gsi, central locking is all it came with!!!! i had to do the electric windows and electric sunroof myself, still gotta do the mirrors yet, cant find any !!

If it came with central locking you could have wired up the flashing door pins to the central locking motors, so they flash when the car is locked and stop flashing when you unlock the car.
Muchos better IMO.

ive got the door pin LEDs wired to the switched-negative on the ignition... which comes on soon as i remove the keys and switch of ignition, so it has same sort of affect as wiring to the central locking
