Yeah mine was jan 01, although we ordered in Oct 00.
Would have been ready sooner but back then the 15" alloys were an upgrade and they dint have any on the production line or summat. Oh well, worth the wait over those RANK 14" 3 spokes. How ming were they? Also we paid 10,995 for ours!

Only had mine 4 months (8700 miles so far). No problems except a slight squeak from the clutch but you can't hear it with the music on. I'll wait for the steering rack to play up as it's had a bit of a bump when one of the front wheels got knocked off in an accident a month ago. So, although I've had no problems to speak of it has had replacement bonnet, 2 doors, wing, 2 wheels, 1 tyre, headlamp, bumper, suspension strut & lower arm, various trim and all but the roof and back repainted. Other blokes insurance will get the 6K bill. Got it back last week so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

id say the problem with your gear box is your gear linkage, i had to have a new gear linkage after bout a year of new, that was after i had to have a new gear box after 4 months of new! it fell out

had it about 9months ISH.....
Stupid rattling glove box
Wiper doesnt wiper properly somethimes (makes a stupid noise)
Squeky Suspention when people get in & out
Think thats it.

mine is class A junk. in today having wheel bearing replaced and drivers seat retrimed.
Going in on monday to have the interior heater fan fixed for the third time.
had new coloumn, rack, and needs it all again

Yeah forgot to say my drivers seat is going a bit - you know on the side where you get in and out..... will this be fixed under warenty??
Should I mention the problems above when it gets serviced??

i've had mine for 3 years now
problems that i've had....
was eating brake pads
had THREE sets of pads in 22000 miles!!!
eventually i bought my own pads instead of vauxhall fitting them
these ones have lasted 15000miles and still hardly worn
squeaky brakes when not pressing pedal
vauxhall never fixed, chamfer the edges off my pads now to stop it happening
juddering brakes that didnt really stop the car
eventually they changed the rear drums under warranty cos they were warped badly
engine management light flashing - car wouldnt start
happened to me a few times. vauxhall say "nothing they can do and not dangerous" - one of their most famous lines. hasnt happened for a while so not bothered bout that
rattling on right hand bends
whenever i go round a right hand bend - especially roundabouts - i get a horrible knocking/vibrating sound. comes up through the steering wheel too. told vauxhall about it but dont think theyve even looked into it to be honest
knocking in steering
same prob as a lot of guys off here.... steering wheel knocks/clunks from side to side and doesnt even turn the roadwheels.
had bottom universal joint tightened and it went away for a bit.
then it came back so had it tightened again, and again it went away.
then it came back again so took it back to vaux and they replaced the steering column under the warranty.
its still doing it tho. i'm not happy and have written a well shitty email to vaux - awaiting reply.......
also.... my car has irmscher 14" alloys on it that were dealer extra and it isnt lowered... but the other night i was driving a long and my mate that was following me said that going round left hand bends there were sparks flying out of my inside (passenger side) rear arch!!!

mate,my steering rack was changed twice and they also done alsorts of other shit regarding the steering rack and the noise onlyt went away for a few days at a time, then came back...
just seems like sumat u have to put upwith till u get ridof the car....

got mine new in nov 03 it wont go into first gear takes about 4 to 5 times to get in i aint taken it back yet as im waiting for more probs oh and i have the bad brake noise too and its only done 4000 miles

sometimes it just wont go into first on mine either. no grinding or anythin just wont go in

got a C oct 2001.
no problems at all.....
o apart from it going in for a service then vaux forgetting to replace a seal and oil leaking everywhere the next day.... but  quickly fixed thank god.

i had the problem with the rack after i changed my wheels so dixon vaux in hull replaced the rack and av not had it since. Av got a squeaking noise from the front drivers side wheel vaux say its the pads gone funny but it dissapears when u break or go above 35 apart from that its bin fine

Ive not had many problems with my C so far: *touch wood* (Bought March 04, '52 reg)
Handbrake light coming on whilst driving, indicators not working whilst in the middle of driving! (The problem ended up being fixed by Vaux [2nd time  ] which ended up being some sort of wiring fault behind the dash...)
Squeaky brakes (Still not fixed)
Thats it.

I have a corsa C feb 01....never had ANY of the problems listed...sometime reverse gear is an ass to get it, but i just put it into third then into reverse and it goes in fine. hmm...squeaky brakes to but thats easily managed/fixed.
Seems like the older corsa C model has less of these problems....odd.

got a 53 plate SXI, only problem has been a squeaky front left wheel.
Other than that no probs whatsoever. Ordered a new Irmscher exhaust so that's going on next week

on my second corsa c, no problems with the last one and none with the current one. old car was bought in June 01 and did 31k, current car was bought in Nov 03 and has done 9500miles. Also my brother had one, June 02 he bought it and did 13k without any problems i think but he now has an astra gsi turbo, lucky c*nt!
