need to remove the battery for a week or so. obviously the alarm will be out of action for this time; but what is the deal with the battery backup system?
aren't modern alarms meant to sound if there is a cut in power to them? i.e. disconnect the battery and it'll think someones stealing it?
or is this only when it's armed?
clifford 300 btw.
and what'll happen when it's connected back up?

only when the alarm is armed will the back up battery kick in so you will be 100% safe
once connected it may beep for a second other wise it should be fine
not sure if its true but some clifford alarms dont like to be jump started or it fries the brain of the alarm
probley bullshit but have never had to jump start so dont know
cheers
