ok as you may now, i had a crash involving a 40 ton lorry and my corsa is now reduced to this -
trying to get the engine going and the only problem that there is is this sensor the bracket for it is broken and lost could anyone help me get a new one? -

It looks like a crank position sensor.

its a cas sensor as 1800 said it should be pointing at the drive belt crank pulley
looking at that its snapped the mounting off the block.
erm its fucked you may have to babricate somthing
ill have a look on a spare engine to see if anything can be done

yep crank sensor. i managed to put a jack thru the bracket. Ring up vauxhall performance spares centre and they can post u one - cost about a £5er

and i dont think having the car sitting on breeze block will do it any good whatsoever

no driveshaft is ok, just need wheel hub+suspension, wing, headlamp n bumper, crash panel and get chassis sorted
