head set , head bolts , oil + filter , antifreeze .. think thats bout it

cambelt 'should' be replaced each time the head comes off.

Just a head gasket and bolts, is all you NEED. Other parts depends on what take apart and what needs changing.

just buy a headset... 25 quid or so, then headbolts 10 quid

No need to buy a headset if your just lifting the head off and slapping a new gasket on.

no point cutting corners take it right off manifolds an all and have the head skimmed, then light rub the block down with some emory cloth and fit a new headset with all new gaskets, if you cut corners youll find your self doing it again a few months down the line

also make sure you take the head off and tighten it down using the proper sequence as stated in the haynes manual

You really should replace the timing belt - old Vauxhall engines are really good at breaking these, and this will destroy your engine.
