get some carb cleaner or switch cleaner and WD40
i dont think u can take it apart as its a sealed unit
just spray inside and will clean it all and give the turning points of the flap a spray with WD40
you should be able to open the flap with a light flick of the weist when its all cleaned up
dont worry about the elec block as it will all dry out, i have know people have them sat in fluids over night and been fine
