Got the BT Broadband Modem, got the PC working on the net smashing, plugged the network cable into my playstation 2 and the 'line' light was on, all going well - as soon as the network has been set up and it goes to connect, the 'line' light dissapears and im bewildered and confused to as why it is doing it.....
Im ready to throw it out the window.
Any ideas?
Ben.

There are 2 types of network cable, patch and crossover. You might have the wrong type.

Well, gents, it WAS the wrong cable i had......the guy at work made it for me and at the time i thought it was just any old network cable i needed but at least you solved the problem for me, ill take it back into work and get him to swap the connections in it for me.
Cheers lads, you saved my PS2 from skydiving out the window
